Tenancy Support

Helping you find and keep a home

Having a stable place to live is a foundation for everything else. Without secure housing, accessing supports, maintaining employment, managing health, and building connections all become harder. For NDIS participants, finding and maintaining a tenancy can involve extra challenges.

Aamoon Care provides tenancy support to help participants find suitable housing, establish a tenancy, and maintain it over time.

What tenancy support covers

Searching for rental properties, understanding and completing applications, attending inspections, reading lease agreements, setting up utilities, understanding tenancy rights, communicating with landlords, managing rent payments, maintaining the property, handling maintenance requests, preparing for inspections, and dealing with disputes or notices.

Finding the right property

The rental market is competitive. We help search for properties matching your access needs, budget, and location. We attend inspections with you, help prepare applications, and support you through securing a tenancy. We also help you understand your rights. Landlords cannot discriminate based on disability.

Maintaining your tenancy

Paying rent on time, keeping the property maintained, reporting issues, and allowing access for inspections. For participants who find these obligations difficult, our workers can provide regular assistance with cleaning before inspections, budgeting, communicating with agents, or addressing maintenance problems.

NDIS funding

Tenancy support can be funded under Core Supports for practical assistance, or under Capacity Building for developing independent living skills. Your coordinator can help work out which category applies.
